Love flowers!

As a scrapbooker, one thing I can't scrap without is flower. I always love to put flowers on my layout. It may be a cut out or 3D type. There's got to be a flower on it. I don't know why but it is a challenge for me when I have to scrap without it. It would take me hours thinking of what to do without it. Flower makes my life easy when scrapping. I feel like giving life on my layout whenever I would put flowers on it. Ok so much of the flower talk. I just want to share some layouts, as usual with flowers! TFL!

Christmas Memories

One of my unforgettable Christmas was last 2010. We were able to celebrate it with friends, we did some exchange gifts and we really had fun. With all the noise that surrounding us that day, my boy was just so busy playing his dad's iphone...what a busy dude! When we got home, we opened our presents for each other and my husband gave me a gorgeous LV bag!!! Isn't that wonderful? And last of course, God bless us with wonderful year.

Anyways, I want to share a layout I made using the photo that my hubby took when I opened his present to me. I used once again the My Mind's Eye sketch for this September.

Good morning Saturday! I am feeling more better now, still a bit sick though. Anyways, while being at home for the past 3 days since I was sick, I was able to browse through some scrapbooking websites and I remembered that I have papers from My Mind's Eye so I decided to visit their blog and tada!!! As I was about to leave work last Monday, my eyes caught the cola chipboard sticker from Echo Park. I knew right away what photo I would scrap with it. So without a doubt, I grab it and and took 4 papers of the same brand. The next day was my off day, even with flu and fever, I decided that I have to do it...no matter how sick I was. And so I did. Bad, good and a project!

As always, I'd been a very bad blogger. It's been a very busy year for me. A lot of things happened, good and bad. I've never been tired in my life! There were a lot of happenings at work, my dad passed away, I'd been very sickly myself so as my little boy. Even my husband had been very busy and tired from his new company. Ok, enough for the bad things. Let's have something to smile about. I'd been consistent "winner" at PRIMA! Yes! Jan, Feb, Mar, May, June, July... my layouts were featured at their site and April, was my month... I won the April BAP. It was such a great experience for I've never won before. Me and my hubby had been having lunch together most of the time which was so great. We've been watching movies at the cinema together and what's more??? Johanne's starting to enjoy watching with us too. Oh, and tomorrow is Johanne's 6th birthday and we will celebrate it at the Zoo. Not a big one though just a simple family day out :)Hmmm, what else is there for me to share??? Ok, I promise that I would give myself time to visit or share something on my blog at least twice a month. I need to have discipline on this one so I am starting now.

I would like to share with you all a little project I made 2 weeks ago. I use this one to submit at PRIMA's August PPP. Hope you will all like it as much as I do.

It's already March 2011 and it was July 2010 when I last posted something here on my blog. It sure is a long time. So, what made me post something today after that loooong months of not posting? Well, I happened to visit BO Bunny site and found that they are having a challenge. Yeah, that's right... a Challenge! And you guys know how I love to join challenges. It's called Layout Challenge Friday. The challenge is to tell something about yourself that they don't know. Easy peasy, right?

The photo I used on this layout is one of my favorite on our Simplicity Photoshoot. It was taken in front of Esplanade. I thank my hubby for making my dream come true.... Model! Yes, when I was a little girl, I used to look at myself infront of the mirror and always telling myself that someday, I'm going to become a model. Sadly, I am petite and there's no such petite in the model world. Again, thanks to my hubby by making me his resident model :D

I've just discovered Pencil lines thru a scrappy friend's blog. Monthly they are having gorgeous sketches. I did my layouts from their 3 sketches in just 4 hours!!! I am so happy to share that one of my layout is featured at Scrapstreet Ezine again. FREEDOM is currently my favorite layout. I did my favorite technique on doing this layout which is hand stitching. Hope you guys will like it as much as I do.

Our 2008 Christmas celebration

Don't ask me why only now? The thing is, I've never printed any photos from Dec 2008-Nov 2009. I decided to print the photos from those months before the year ends. Ok, I know I'd been a very bad blogger for the past month. But I just got this awesome job and I am not very good at time planning. And there are times that I have to go home like 12:30 am...whew! It's been a very busy month for me and for the months to come so hope you guys bare with me on this. I will try my best to post at least once a week and even more than that if my time would allow it.

Well, just want to share this card I made for If the Shoe Fits Scrap it. The theme is about using lots of blings on any project. This is a very simple card but honestly, I love the simplicity of it.

Material used:
Box of Chocolate
sticker glitter heart - Making Memories
cut-out flowers - three bugs in a rug
tag - three bugs in a rug
swirl wood - kaiser
white paint
3 buttons
3 brads
lace ribbon

Instruction:
Since I am lucky to have this beautiful box of chocolate with red and bronze(brown) color I just add on some touches on it.

1) I cut my ribbon lace into half (middle section)
2) stick it on both sides of the border (bronze)
3) cut out the flowers
4) stick the tag onto the part of the box that have letters on it
5) attached the 2 flowers and stick the heart with sweet letter on the middle of the tag
6) I painted the swirl wood with white, let it dry.
7) I took off the tail of the brads and put 3d dots at the back and stick it on the buttons.
8) I positioned to stick the wood and buttons with brads on it to the box.

Yesterday, October 1 was Children's day so my Johanne don't have school. Good thing it was also my day off from work. We went to Parkway Parade to eat our lunch...chicken rice as always, hahaha! After eating, we went to Marks and Spencer to buy our cookies and candies. Then we went straight back home and start munching our yummy goodies. While Johanne is having fun munching I remember that Sketchy Thursday have a second chance challenge on their blog and quickly grab the camera and took photo of Johanne and the candies. Time flies really fast. It was just like yesterday when I held Johanne in my arms and cannot even talk or walk. And it is also just like yesterday when it was me who's studying. But now, It is him. I can't believe that he is already Nursery 2. {I love you my baby... I know you don't want me to call you baby but you will always be my baby no matter what...ok?}

I love these photos because it was taken on Johanne's 3rd Birthday. Yes, it was his 3rd birthday and I still let him go to school. But we surprise him by going in his school in the afternoon with a cake.

Good news really make someone's day so so special! I just got yesterday and another one awhile ago. First was when I saw Jaz's comment on my Sassy that I've won her rak. Wow! It was my first time ever to win a rak. I'd been joining all the time and for no luck I never get any... but I guess this time, the luck was on me. Second was when I open my email and then saw that I am this weeks LOTW at Simply Scrapping, and this is my second time. The layout was the sketch from LG, at MAF. The title of the layout was the Waiter... our bill please! :)

Journal on the LO : Since we got our " Friends of the Zoo" membership card we always go there as our family bonding day. I guess this particular visit is my favorite. We were able to see almost everything, even experiencing Kangaroos up-close. We rested a bit somewhere while snacking with oreos. These photos are testaments of that unforgettable moment. As a bonus, Hans didn't throw tantrums not even once.

Mini-album challenge at Memories Always-Forever

Memories Always-Forever

My challenge is as simple as making a mini-album. Though there will some rules for your to follow:

1) Square shape in 14.5 cm X 14.5cm
2) Consist mostly of colors pink and yellow or just all pink or all yellow.
3) Every page would have a corresponding letters that would spell out the name of the person.

4) The firs page or the cover will have a flower, butterfly, ribbon and the your first letter.

You can use wire-O, o-rings or anything to bind your album

At the end of the challenge, I would let my son draw the name from all the participants. The lucky pick will receive a small prize from me, as a token from participating on the challenge. I will announce the winner on the 3rd of September.
