Happy new year! How did you celebrate your Christmas and New year? Any resolution? Me, I had a wonderful time with our family back in Manila. We did a lot of things in a span of 2 weeks. Resolution, hmmm not that I really have. But for all I know I promise myself to finish my Art Journal. Yes, I started my art journal and that's what I wanted to share with everyone. My sister gave me 3 of her past Starbucks planner which she didn't use at all... so it is still brand new in a way. Well, I decided to use those as my "Art Journal". Hope you will like what you will see... thanks!
First, put gesso on your planner/notebook... let it dry.
Using Oil Pastel ( I used Faber-Castell), color the gesso-ed pages of your planner/notebook.
Put gesso on top of your colored pages.
If you are not satisfy with your current background, color it again(repeat the process), until you achieve the color background that you want.
Prepare other material that you wish to add on your journal. It can be stamp images, embellies or magazine/paper cut-outs. Here, I used a stamp image from Hero Arts
Here, I punch out a cloud (Fiskar puncher) on a patterned paper (Prima) and color it with oil pastel (Faber-Castell) and Gesso-ed it (Studio).
Thank you for your time looking and I hope that I inspire you once again.
xoxo,
Vanessa
