Trying something new

Good morning! Yesterday, I joined Filipino Scrapbooker at facebook. While browsing through the post, I saw a post from Patricia Alejandro Paterno that caught my eyes. I went to visit her blog and it made my jaw dropped. She is an awesome artist and she really inspired me to try something that I'd been wanting to try for a very long time. I was so afraid to try it because in my mind I know I cannot do it. Though since I was young, as early as 5, as far as I can remember, I love doing arts and crafts. My heart loves art (who doesn't?). I know that I've seen other artist doing the same thing. Other is even better than her. But she have something that made me wanna do it. In one of her post, My Father's Daughter she made me realized that I just have to do it, because I can and I too, is my Father's daughter :) Anyways, I did what I have to do. Do it now or never! So I grabbed all the available materials that I have and for me it's a miracle because I love how it turned how. I hope you will too :)

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.

I was able to make 2 actually. I will share the other one tom. Thank you for dropping by. Thanks for looking!

You can visit Patricia's blog by clicking the link above and who knows? You too will be inspire to make one.

Vanessa

CK Summer Camp 2012

Good morning!

I just want to share some layouts I made for CK Summer Camp 2012 challenges. There are 5 challenges for the week. For each challenge you complete, you’ll earn a summer camp badge. It's so fun. Happy that I am able to join 3 out of 5 challenges.

Monday (7/23): Markers and pens
There is a download page and you just have to color it and use it on your layout.

Download Page

CK Summer Camp 2012 (Day Two): Altering Stickers
Just alter one or more of your own stickers and use them on a layout.

- I altered my 2 chipboard stickers by spreading a thin layer of glitter glue.

CK Summer Camp 2012 (Day Three): Smash Books
Create a smash-style page or spread in an album or mini album. Incorporate one or more found items and a color medium such as paint, colored pencils, or markers.

- I used mist as my medium and my found items are all from the starbucks. The transparencies ( starbucks logo and my journaling transparency) are from the cup of starbucks and I cut it to act as my embellishment. The journal pennants and the postage stamps are from the pamphlets of starbucks. I cut it up and the stamp, I used the Fiskars punch to make it look like a postage stamp. The "starbucks" below the photo is actually from the napkin of starbucks. The green stick (straw) is a stirrer from starbucks as well.

Thank you for looking and have a great day!

Vanessa
