Hey...Enjoy Life

Hi everyone! Just want to share with you the mini-album I made this afternoon. I still can't continue carving my stamps as I am banned from doing so. I accidentally cut my thumb hahaha... My hubby told me that if I cut it again, he won't let me carve anymore so I need to behave myself from now and focus not to hurt myself.

I hope you enjoyed looking through my album. Thank you for looking and have a great day!

Celebrate Simplicity

Good morning! Last night, I received my prize from Faber-Castell. I am supposed to received just 2 packs of Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils, but to my surprised, they added Gelatos into it. They are so kind and generous. I am truly thankful as I can't find gelatos here in Singapore. Even if I try to order it in Amazon, they won't let me check out with those items. Anyways, with my excitement I tried it out right away. I just made a simple mixed-media canvass just to try out my Gelatos :)

1) First, I gather the materials that I would be needing in my small project.

2) I cut out my scrap papers to fit in to my canvass (5.5" x 7.1").

3)After adhering my scraps to my canvass, I gesso-ed it.

4) Using my fingers, I smudge some acrylic colors to my collage.

5) I cut out an image of a person from book.

6) I brushed water to my handcarved stamps, then smudge the Gelatos into it and stamp my image directly to my collage.

7) I draw the hair using a marker and color it with my Gelatos.

8) Added a few stamps images (my hand carved stamps), doodle some words and add a bit of stickers.

Finished Product. Hope you like it.

Thank you for your time looking and have a great day!

The Twinery Challenge - Chevron & Green

Good morning! I had a great sleep last night. I would say that my day was complete because I am able to do my house chores, scrap, attend to my son and hubby and posted here at my blog. And I can't even believed myself that I am posting again.

Just now, I made a card that I would like to enter at The Twinery. This is my first time entering at their challenge and hoping to send more in the future.

Simply use the theme and create something using baker's twine...share their badge on your blog and, most importantly - HAVE FUN!

Theme: Chevron and Green

Here's my take:

1) Firts I prepared all the materials that I am going to use: Twine(The Twinery - Seaweed); Stamps (Hero Arts, my own handcarved chevron stamp)

2)I Stamped my images into a white cardstock and colored the flower using Faber-Castell watercoulour pencil.

3) I poked the sides of my chevron image and stitched it using my twinery seaweed.

4) I wrapped the sides of the card using The Twinery -Seaweed.

5) I used my Jillibean chevron paper as the main card and used a gate fold. I attached the other side of my mini card to the other side of the card.

6) The finished product

Hope you like it and thank you for looking!

True Friends

Hi there! I know I just posted something about my new hobby and here I am again. I know, when I am busy, It's taking me months to post here and when I am in the mood I can post as many as I want. But of course I won't do that... haha! Anyways, this one is different from the previous post so I decided to separate them. I like to share the mini-album I made using Carta Bella Paper - True Friends collection. I won this collection from Carta Bella when I did my altered mail box. Thank you for your time looking!

Take the challenge - March 2013

Good day everyone! The challenge for this month at Faber-Castell is about making something you don't make everyday. It's interesting as I am trying to do a lot of things lately. It is really challenging on my part. After thinking hard of what it is that I don't make everyday, I came up with 3 things.

1) This is the first time I would tear/destroy/cut from a pocket book. I treasure my books and never imagine myself tearing it. But when we moved house, my hubby threw all of it and I asked him to leave just 1 book for me to use. So, now is the time to use it.
2) When I am using my watercolour pencil, I would color first my image and use a wet brush for it to turn into watercolour. This time, I dipped the nib/point of my watercolour pencil directly to the water and color the image.
3) This is the first time I will make a coaster.

Thank you for your time looking and have a great day!

Tattered floral challenge…if there's a wheel there's a way

Good day everyone! The post that I am going to share with you now is for Tim Holtz tattered floral challenge. I have a confession to make before showing you how I did my project on this one. Again, to remind everyone that we are moving house in 2 days time. We packed most of my craft materials and send 95% of them to the Philippines. Papers, embellishments, paints, mists, stamps, ink stamps, tools, Big Shot, dies and name it. Anyways, there is this page on FB that I would buy stuffs for scrapbook and 2 weeks ago I asked her to reserve for me 3 dies (tattered floral, fanciful flight & love struck). Last Monday I saw this challenge post from Tim Holtz and contacted her If I can get my dies this Thursday and begged her if I can use her big shot for me to use the dies that I would buy from her (They have a shop and the one I bought are the opened ones which they used for samples). After a couple of hours, I can't wait for her response, and actually while typing this she still hasn't replied yet. As the saying goes, if there's a wheel, there's a way. I used to work at scrapbooking shop here in Singapore and those times we would play with the dies that we have. I remember to have some cut-outs of tattered florals and ta-da I found it. I have cut it from paper, felt and chipboard. Sadly the felt and the paper that I used was an off-color and not sure what to do with it. So, I traced my chipboard and cut it out manually using scissors. I hope this does not disqualify me from the challenge hahaha. Honestly, I love how it turned out and would love to do more to give as a gift to my nieces. I hope they would love it as much as I do.

I traced my chipboards to shrink plastic, cut it, punch holes and heat it up using my heat gun. I used Adirondack alcohol inks to color the cut-out pieces and let them dry. Then I try to find some old and unused jewelry that I can used to make my very own jewelry. I color the bracelet using Adirondack alcohol ink to mix with my beautiful flower.

Bracelet

Earrings

I hope you love them because I really do. Thank you so much for looking and have a great day! If you have time you can visit Tim Holz Blog and join in the fun.

Another thing that I would like to share are my recent creations. Even though we're busy with packing because in just 2 days time, we would be moving house, I am still able to craft.
